Birds are my favorite creature in the natural world. I've loved them and fed them since I rescued baby robins when I was a child. Birds are recognized by their shape and size, but are primarily distinguished by the patterns of their feathers. Romeo and Juliette show off their unique plumage in this whimsical mixed media diptych. The background represents many of the other patterns that I find in nature, books and music.
