The inspiration for Urban Tides - Patterned Passage emerges from my fascination with patterns, both visible and structural, that define the city at night. Using digital collage to create the image emphasizes the structural patterns inherent in the cityscape, highlighting the tension and harmony between vibrant human activity and the underlying frameworks that shape the urban experience. The overlapping of layers furthers this investigation, allowing patterns to intersect, overlap, and merge, producing a tapestry where each element contributes to an overarching sense of ordered complexity. Light, color, and form are orchestrated to evoke movement similar to the ebb and flow of tides, reinforcing the rhythm of daily life within the city’s frameworks.
